RAGHAVA AYYAGARI

I am a resident of Carmel/Indianapolis, living with my beloved wife Vijayalakshmi since 2001. Together we raised two sons, as a family we believe and share the same principles of Bhakti and Service.

NAMASTE

Being recognized by HTCI and being conferred with the Distinguished Service Award is a true honor and blessing. As a lifelong learner, I am a devoted practitioner of all-inclusive traditions and Dharmic values passed down to us through generations. I strongly believe in the Vedic axiom "Ekam Sat Vipraah Bahuda Vadanti - Truth is Singular, Wise speak of it by many names".

I humbly seek your vote and blessings to serve the various manifestations of the Paramatma in our temple. I aim to play a crucial yet modest role in advancing the temple's cause in our community.

MY PRIORITIES

EFFICIENCY

Implement efficient and cost-effective processes to improve devotee, employee and volunteer experience working with Puja and Kitchen services.

DIVERSITY

Nurture diverse worship traditions and ethnic cultures we cherish from various regions of Bharat.

ENGAGEMENT

Increase  engagement  to identify, and cultivate next generation leaders and volunteers in time for Kumbhabhishekam in 2027 and for future.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH DIVINITY AND HUMANITY

A DECADE OF DIVERSE ROLES

I have been actively involved in temple activities for more than a decade. During this time, I have served in various roles such as Communications Chair, Vice President, and volunteer.

TECHNOLOGY & SECURITY

I have worked to strengthen our temple's technology and security posture by improving both the network and physical security measures.

I believe it is crucial to communicate traditions and culture through modern techniques and reach an audience of all ages. Therefore, as Communications Chair I have implemented several key technology initiatives that helped increase the outreach of our temple's activities through the web, social media, email, and live streaming.

CHALLENGING TIMES

As the Vice President of the EC, I worked closely with my colleagues, the EC President, the Board of Trustees, and the COVID team to ensure a secure environment for our devotees to partake in diverse experiences, even during challenging times like COVID.

LARGE EVENTS RELIGIOUS/SOCIAL

I have collaborated in planning, communicating, and executing large-scale religious events catering to diverse communities, including Kumbhabhishekam, Maha Shivaratri, Maharudram, Vaikuntha Ekadasi, Jagran, Garbha, and many more. In addition to religious events, I have planned and executed several community events such as Templefest, Visa camps, vaccine camps, and more.

I believe we can work together, so I seek your vote to be the Vice President of the Executive Committee at HTCI (2024-2025).
